For the Catchall discovery session, we prepared a script that prompted the users to show us their current workflow, and elaborate on Catchall use cases.

During the discovery session, we established that the user groups who create Catchall pages include producers, designers, and developers. We interviewed a USA producer and Director of Design who creates the content and design for Catchall pages.

Main Use Case and Purpose for Catchall

• Catchall is exactly what it sounds like—it ‘catches’ content that doesn’t fit within pre-existing content types. It is typically used for one-off content pages such as votes, sweepstakes, and games.


• The body is created with custom content, made using custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. There are templates that include the USA header and footer, and color scheme of a specific series.
